Starting my Bipedal Male Anatomy Sculpture

Writer: Mari WalshMari Walsh

I began my sculpture with a pre-built armature that I formed to match my desired pose. I added clay to create a skeleton for my anatomy sculpture. There was lots of sculpting and carving involved in making the bones look proper and have a good shape. A base for the feet was needed to stabilize the sculpture and keep my man from floating. I just used a chunk of clay to connect the feet to the base of the armature board.
